About Me

Who is Mirek ?

Just a little bit about me

Hi there, my name is Mirek and I come from Czechia. Currently, I am an international student enrolled in the Digital Concept Development program at Business Academy Aarhus. I love what I do and I must admit that UX has been a great part of my life since the first time I have heard of it during my studies of Multimedia Design and Communication program which I finished in June 2020.

A few years have passed, and after more than 15 UX projects successfully submitted, I am standing here, in a room full of plants, holding a cup of black coffee. I am hungrier for knowledge than ever before. More importantly, I feel like I am ready, ready for producing and executing, ready to make this world a better place by helping beautiful people with solving their beautiful problems (did you get that reference?).

How I ended up in UX field:

Going a bit in the past, I discovered my passion for helping people when I was working as a barista. During my work at the cafe, I genuinely enjoyed it when I was able to enhance the experience of my customers. Moreover, it was great to see how many different types of people I got to meet thanks to that experience. On that note, I learned how to adapt based on the situation that I am in, and I have been flexible in my process ever since.

Moreover, I dived into the multimedia design field as an amateur/self-taught photographer. I tried to get experience wherever it was possible. Firstly, I was taking pictures of my dogs, friends, and whenever I went for a hike, I carried my camera with me. Secondly, when I felt brave enough I started volunteering positions at festivals as a photograph. Through these experiences, I build the nit-picking skill that makes me very detail-oriented. Thanks to photography, I discovered a wonderful world of visual design and put my hands on things like exposition and composition of the content. Additionally, I started getting immersed in graphic design on such a scale I decided to study this field. And you already know the rest of the story.

On top of that, I have always enjoyed planning and organizing events that bring joy and entertainment. I am always the one who comes up with themed parties, movie nights, or chill dinner events. Eventually, I was able to transmit this skill into my professional life in a role of a project manager. I hope you know a bit more about me now. I am sure a direct communication would only enhance that. Get in touch!
